The error concealment technique can efficiently compensate the data loss and the data errors in the transmission process caused by the transmission environment

thus improve the quality of the video received. In this paper

we propose a novel adaptive temporal error concealment technique~ To conceal a lost block

we estimate both the motion of the whole block and the motion of every pixel in the block

and then adaptively combine the two estimated motion to obtain the recovery value of the missing pixel according to the status of a missing pixel in this block. Experimental results show the proposed method is significantly better than the existing techniques in terms of both subjective and objective quality.
