摘要:The problem of virtualized reality, or view synthesis of real scenes, has received increasing attention in recent years. This paper presents a systematic approach to automatically construct the 3D natural scene from video sequences captured by a vibrated camera with only approximately known motion. A two stage method is presented for the 3D panoramic scene modeling which consists of (1) image stabilization by motion filtering and (2) depth estimation and depth boundary localization. The two stage method not only combines Zheng and Tsuji's panoramic image method with Baker's epipolar plane image analysis, resulting the so called panoramic epipolar plane image method, but also generalizes them to handle image sequence vibrations due to the uncontrollable fluctuation of the camera. The two stage method bypasses the correspondence problem and ill posed problem encountered in the general motion analysis, and avoids the local minimum problem in the spatial constraint based iteration method. This paper mainly describes the robust algorithms of spatio temporal orientation detection of spatio temporal textures, boundary localization of kinetic occlusion and depth layering of the panoramic scene. Two kinds of depth layered representations, depth layered region and depth layered setting, have been developed, which found a ground base for landmark selection of global localization and image synthesis of virtualized reality.

摘要:In classical fratcal image coding, the self-similarities between image blocks are measured by MMSE. No human visual properties are considered. In this paper, we propose a novel fractal block coding based on human visual system. The original image blocks are classified by their visual differences; For each range block, the domain block which is“the most similar in vision”is searched and the matching of blocks is completed in the DCT domain; Adaptive distortion equalization is used to reduce the blocking effect in the decoded image. The performance of our method has a visible improvement of subject quality depending on visual perception.
摘要:Video compression based on the wavelet representation and multiresolution motion compensation (MRMC)has a superior performance in terms of the PSNR as well as the subjective quality.But the intensive computational consuming is the bottleneck.it is a feasible way to make an estimation by using the potential motion area(PMA) to locate the regions where motion has likely occurred before the actual motion.Considering that the final results rely heavily onthe accuracy of PMA,a new PMA predicted a lgorithm based on morphological segmentation is proposed in this paper.The wavelet representation has the advantages of spati alorientation selectivity,localization in both space (or time) and frequency.Moreover the mathematical morphology efficiently deals with geometrical features.The hierarchical morphological segmentation can make a tradeoff between the quality of the MRMC and the computational cost.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduceprocessing time significantly.Using the energy decision of displacement frame difference can make the motion detection less sensitive to noise.The morphologicalsegmentation and marking PMA in all the wavelet subimages can avoid the error propagation.
摘要:In this paper, a new approach for image segmentation ,which was basedon fuzzy clustering and fast two dimensional thresholding, was proposed and implemented.Experimental results show that by using this approach one can obtain better segmentations of the image with low signal to noise in real time. Besides,the function of the membership function has also been discussed.

摘要:An integrated visual image processing environment is proposed in this paper. Visualization of image and image analysis and integration of image processing algorithms are available in this environment. Working efficiency will be improved considerably when developing image processing algorithms or building image understanding systems based on this environment.

摘要:In this paper, we provide a wavelet transform method for texture analysis. We first decompose the image by a nonseparable discrete wavelet. By calculating the pixel energy of high frequency bands, we can extract the texture feature. The number of texture class is determined by coarse segmenting based on histogram. The final result can be obtained, after fine segmentation and multi scale processing. Our approach is an unsupervised classification algorithm, which is simple but accurate.
摘要:Models at multiple level of detail are widely used in real time rendering of complex 3D scene, flight simulator, 3D animation, interactive visualization, and virtual reality. Mesh simplification may be used to create models at level of detail. In this paper, we present a summary on the mesh simplification techniques including latest achievements in this field. And we compare the typical methods and give the prospect of this technique.

摘要:We proposed a robust approach to object motion estimation between frames based on block matching in this paper.Compared with existing methods for object motion estimation between frames,our approach,firstly,employs color information to improve accuracy of block matching;secondly,by adopting a wide range of adaptive scheme,the robustness and high efficiency of the proposed approach can be achieved; finally,prediction correction based compound search algorithm integrates history information of object motion together with advantages of three step search algorithm andfull search algorithm to yield efficient andaccurate motion estimation.Experiment results demonsrate that the proposed approach can track objects moving in a very complex background or that in a low SNR environment,so our approach can achieve more robust motion estimation thanexisting block matching based methods.
