摘要:This papers proposes the development of a world wide web image search engine, which browses homepages on Internet, computes the features of images embedded in the pages, extracts the index information based on image content, stores the index vectors, and a nswers the users' queries of similar images. The paper also analyzes the technologies of query be image content such as color histograms, edge orientation histograms, texture measures and shape invariants. In the ending discussion the requirement of world wide web image search engine is predicted.
摘要:This paper is concerned with an application of artificial neural network to the real-time detecting system which can inspect the inner walls of pipes. As a regular detector, the BP neural network is used for extracting features of the images inspected and classifying the images in the system, and an improved BP algorithm which was named for BP′is used for making the learning procedure of the net converge to the minimum of overall situation at great rate.
摘要:Image segmentation is the key step in object recognition and image understanding. Split-and-merge is an efficient and practical method to segment an image. The Split-and-merge method based on edge information is presented. The edge information is used both to adaptively determine the beginning layer which is optimum, and to measure the consistence of image blocks during merging and spliting. By using the method the segmentation quality is improved, the processing time is decreased, and the satisfied experiment result is obtained in segmentating some sophisticated images.
摘要:Most of the fast block matching algorithms(BMAs) use the origin as the initial center of the search. To improve the accuracy of the fast BMAs, a new predicted search algorithm is proposed in this paper. Based on the spatial correlation of motion and the fast center-based BMAs, the four causal neighbour blocks are chosen to predict the start searching point and then the center-based BMA is used to find the final motion vector as the global minimum is more close to the predicted center. Experimental results show that the proposed predicted search algorithm overdrives the performance very well in most fast BMAs such as the new three-step search, the four-step search in terms of motion compensation errors. In addition, the average computational requirement is also reduced.
摘要:In this paper, we proposed a very fast fractal image coding method, which is based on neighboring search for the matching of image blocks and testing of significant uncorrelation of blocks. For the standard test image(Lena 256×256×8ppb), comparing with the classification method, we recorded acceleration factors from 70 up to 200 with 2(dB) to 3(dB) deg radation of PSNR and some improvement of the compression ratio; comparing with the ordinary neighboring search method, we recorded a 32% acceleration factor without any degradation of PSNR, and if 0.2(dB) to 1(dB) degradation of PSNR are permitted, acceleration factors from 3 to 9 are recorded.
摘要:In the process of motion estimation for very low bit rate video coding, a macroblock is partitioned adaptively with a pattern which matches the shape of edges of the objects in the macroblock, and two time differential reference frames are used. To speed up the process of motion estimation, the macroblocks which need not to be coded are distinguished before the process, and a fast search algorithm is used during the process. Simulation results demonstrate that, compared with the advanced prediction mode in H.263, the proposed method for motion compensation makes higher signal noise ratio (SNR) for the reconstructed image.
摘要:A prediction model is proposed to predict the matching possiblity of the block in fractal image coding. We apply this model in fractal image coding to reduce the redundant matching calcaulation. Experimental results indicate that it can greatly increase the speed of fractal image coding by this way.

摘要:A new morphology method of 3-D objects Morphing is proposed and the principle of the method is proved. The relationship of morphing interpolation is described by a uniform mathematics model and the problem of two arbitrary polyhedrons morphing is solved. Experimental results show that the new method is good for morphing and the defect of old method is overcome. It's very easy to complete and the method can be popularized to modeling system.
摘要:In this paper, the relationships between 3D spatial models are investigated by vector analysis. A series of factors and formulas are defined for detecting if any collision happened among the models. Then, analgorithm is developed for collision detection, and was proved correct and effective with experiment.

摘要:GIS of the Comprehensive National Situation for the State Council (9202 Project) is a multifeature, multilevel and multitense spatial information system. Based on the spatial data of National Fundamental Geographic Information System, it provides the leaders of different ranks in both central government and local government agencies with themacroscopical analysis and policy-making basis in fields of economical management and social development. In this paper, the following technical problems are discussed in detail: basic characteristics of government GIS, principles of software design, techniques of software devlopment, system functions and real application of 9202 Project. Besides, some suggestions for software devlopment are given.

摘要:This paper presents a Video Print System based on FPGA. Using the print method of apart-layers, we have accomplished Full-Tone Rendition print with high-performance thermal heads. The Acquisition and Processing Logic(APL) was implemented using a FPGA device. Compared with a previously design using 7 400-series and 4 000-series chips, this one has better characteristics. The devices operate fast and the system provides high-performance. FPGA technology improves flexibility and reliability of the design.
