    • Enlarged Image Based On Fractal Geometry Model

      摘要:This paper deals with an approach for enlarging an image based on fractal geometry model. It extracts the fractal factor from a picture first, and then the random middle point offsetting is used to add more points for interpolation. The case study shows that the enlarged image quality using this new approach is very good.

      摘要:An automatic method was introduced to determinate the myocardial center and both endocardial and epicardial radii from SPECT short axis slices. This method is based on the statistical analysis for the outer and inner edges and the fast fitting algorithm. It has the advantage of higher stability and accuracy with short computing time, and may be used in clinical application.

      摘要:This paper extensivey studies the application of mathematical morphology to the field of edge detecting. The definitions of morphological differentiating operators are systematically presented. In the mean time, several anti-noises morphological differentiating operators are developed to deal with the images corrupted by impulses. It is shown by computer simulations that, by appropriately using the four basic operators of mathematics morphology, the influence of impulsive noise on edge detecting will be eliminated by morphological differentiating operators. The morphological edge detectors will outperform other edge detectors.

    • Fast Image Matching Model Based on Wavelet Multiscale Analysis

      摘要:In this paper, an effective matching model for intermediate level computer vision is proposed based on wavelet multi scale analysis. Two main vision paths are simulated by wavelet multi scale decomposition of images, and scanning and fixing algorithms are designed With complete the fast recognition from coarse to fine scale. Compared with conventional methods, the model is faster, more accurate, and higher noise robust.

    • A Global Algorithm for Recognition of Lines in Scanned Engineering Drawings

      摘要:A new global approach for the recognition of lines in scanned engineering drawings is proposed in this paper.This method can not only obtain the crucial points placed in line contour but also analyze and process these points.It shows good effects on cross areas without dealing with interaction areas after recognition. The algorithm detects widths of lines in scanned engineering drawings first,and then extracts trapezoid black blocks and converts the image of scanned engineering drawings into several trapezoid block adjacent graphs which are composed by the trapezoid black blocks based on the different line widths in drawing image,and then generate and recognizes lines based on the different graphs receptively.The results demonstrates the effectiveness of this method, especially at the interaction points.

    • Color Image Segmentation

      摘要:A novel technique for unsupervised learning in feature space is presented. The feature space is considered as composed of two distinct sources,“mode”and“valley”, in the point of view of information theory. An entropy-based threshold is taken to distinguish the discrete cells in the feature space. The cells labeled as“mode”are then chained to form mode areas. Thereafter a modified Akaike’s information criterion is proposed to solve the cluster validity problem. After all the parameters are estimated, a labeling algorithm is developed based on the majority game theory. The method is applied to color image segmentation. The segmentation process is completely autonomous.

    • A Novel Method for Extracing Image Feature Based on Triple Cumulation

      摘要:Phenomenon of missing often occur at the description of images by corrlelation function with order 1 and 2. However,the triple cumulation of 2D images,which possess translation invariance and insensitivity to gauss noise,is a complete reprsentation of images.In this paper,a new algorithm based on the propreties of translation invariance and insensitivity to gauss noise is suggested for the extraction of feature vector from images. The feature vector can be used for target recognition for the reason that it is invariance of shift.rotation and scaling. The simulation experiments are carried out to show the effectiveness of the new method.

    • 3D Wavelet Video Coding with Motion Compensation

      摘要:In this paper,we present a new video coding scheme based on three dimensional wavelet transformation with motion compensation(3DMCWT). First,we apply 1D temporal wavelet decomposition along the motion trajectory and 2D spatial wavelet decomposition, and obtain spatio temporal multiresolution representation of the original video signal. Then,we construct several 3D orientation hierarchical trees for the wavelet coefficients in all subbands,and encode them with an extention of SPIHT algorithm introduced by Said and Pearlman(3D SPIHT). Our simulations demonstrate that this method is very efficient. What's more,it can provide both multirate and spatio temporal multiresolution video scalability.

    • A Wavelet Based Multiscale Synthesis Approach to Terrain Simulation

      摘要:As an improvement and replacement of random midpoint displacement method for fBm process generation, a wavelet based multiscale synthesis approach to terrain simulation is proposed in this paper. This new method regards real terrain as a hierarchical and stochastic process, a generalized stochastic relative method is presented to generate enough structural point according to given topographic parameters such as average height, standard deviation, terrain relative length and terrain coarseness etc. for the representation of terrain sketch. Random variables with an appropriate variance proportional to are generated to get terrain details at each scale j. Then an iterative wavelet synthesis on these details and sketch points results in the simulated realistic 3D terrain with any fineness. Experimental results show it's effectively and reliable of this method.

    • Polygon Clipping Against A Circular Window

      摘要:A simple and practical clipping algorithms for a polygon P is offered based on a circular window V. It considers the edges of the polygon as directed lines, and studies the problem of deciding the area edge of P clipping by V, based on the intersection point concept of in edges and out edges of the polygon vertices. The theorems about what is the inner part of the polygon P within a circular window V are presented.

    • A Processing and Displaying System of Mankind′s Mandibular Movement

      摘要:The paper introduces a processing and displaying system of mankind’s mandibular movement. It includes gaining data of mandibular movement by a tracing recorder, data processing, and data displying. Data processing includes calibrating, separating. Data displaying includes zooming, moving and measuring. A 3D model of mankind’s mandibular is built in our system, therefore, a realistic mandibular movement can be gained. These functions all assist medical doctors to diagnose. Certainly the system is helpful for the education and researching of mandibular movement.

    • A High speed Generation Algorithm for Progressive Meshes

      摘要:Progressive meshes can store mesh information efficiently and generate continuous level of detail (LOD) models. They support multiresolution representation, progressive transmission and selective refinement. A high speed algorithm for generating progressive meshes based on edge collapses in presented in this paper. This algorithm provides an efficient error management for the process of mesh simplification. The speed of the algorithm is very fast and the boundary features are well preserved.
