摘要:The state of the art of image compression techniques are summarized in the paper whilst the emphasis is specially on those for data from space borne remote sensors. Suggestions of using various techniques in space based remote sensing are proposed. The system configurations on space based lossless and lossy compression and ground based data compression are rendered.
摘要:This paper is aimed at fitting curves and surfaces, investigating many knot spline interpolation schemes. This kind of schemes has advantages such as cardinal type, explicit calculation(no need to solve system of equations) and localization. New results are: present new expression for the basic function of many knot spline interpolation; produce a new kind of hybrid basic function of many knot spline interpolation without shift; based on the thought of multi scale analysis, present a self fitting refinement algorithm that is simple and efficacious for reduces dependence of the sampling data.
摘要:After making an intensive study of the principle of fractal image coding, this paper presents a fast searching method named RD searching method, which is based on the relation between the variance of range block and that of simply transformed domain block. When the quality of reconstructed image is comparable to that of JFB searching method, this one increases the encoding speed by about 2 times.

摘要:On the basis of the Marr edge detection method and the selection of the first and second order derivative of the Gaussian function as the wavelet, we proposed a method of multiscale edge detection that uses two variable parametes. The grade of the wavelet decomposition can be regarded as the control parameter for the viewing distance, and the standard deviation R of the Gaussian function co rresponds to the degree of the details of the detected edges. This method is suitable for the searching strategy about the“Pre attention”and the“Post attention”in active computer vision.

摘要:The design technologies of Multimeda Simulation(MS) environment for structure engineering were presented in this paper. MS system is different from traditional simulation system in the sense that the user can work with a fully simulated, animated multimedia demonstration for what will occur on the proposed works. The MS is an improvement in the means of model expanding, parameter inputing, behavior controling and displaying etc. The concept of multimedia simulation and the corresponding environment were introduced. Special attention was focused on the main technologies and basic tools to buil the environment. The system can be used to simulate the engineering mechanics field, structure behaviors and other related areas animatedly.
摘要:The application of a lossy compression algorithm,based on statistical law, to a B ultrasonic diagnostic expert system is introduced through some medical examples of B ultrasonic images. The realization of the algorithm is completely presented, based on the design and description of the characteristics,the statistical methods and the concrete compression methods of the B ultrasonic images.

摘要:An overview of the TMS320C80 MVP parallel processor is provided in this paper, including key features and a description of the parallel processor's architecture. The TMS320C80 SDB(Software Development Board) structure is described and the individual components of the PC base system are discussed. Lastly, a table lists the image processing products based on TMS320C80.

摘要:In this paper an intensity based meth od to estimate the parallax between the left and the right image of a stereo pair is studied. Since the simplest intensity based method, i.e. block matching, is sensitive to noise, when small block sizes are required (as e.g. for computer vision purposes), a new method, improved block matching, based on the non linear diffusion process, was recently developed. It was shown that this new method has better noise suppressing properties than traditional block matching. Here, it is investigated how the new method reacts to a difference in average luminance and contrast of the left and the right image, caused by a gain difference in the left and the right camera. First, it is shown that improved block matching is less sensitive to these differences than traditional block matching. Secondly, a correcting mechanism, called gain control, based on the statistics of the left and the right image of the stereo pair, is shown to improve the performance of the parallax estimating algorithm.
