摘要:In this paper we construct two types of dyadic wavelets suiting for edge detection and description: one is zero-symmetrical,the other is zero -antisymmetrical. These results have enriched the theory of dyadic wavelet and laid a solid foundation for properly applying dyadic wavelet to edge detection and description. Then the application of dyadic wavelet to edge detection, classification and description are studied from computation theory and algorithm aspects. Experimental results are also given to show the effectiveness.
摘要:One of the main difference between atmospheric effect on nadir and off-nadir observations is the adjacency effect. For nadir remote sensing,the adjacency effect is azimuthally isotropic, but in off-nadir remote sensing,the effect is azimuthally dependent and the contribution of the background in the direction of the observer is greater than others. In this paper,we consider the space composed by the sensor,the target pixel, and environmental pixel and use geometric relations to describe the single scattering of diffuse reflection from the environmental one toward the sensor,in order to get a first-order aproximation of the atmospheric PSF for off-nadir observation. Our approximation is compared with Monte Carlo simulation results. Then we design a Wiener filter to remove the adjacency effect on ASAS images. The correction results are evaluated by visual evaluation of image quality and the analysis of spatial correlation between pixels in the original,corrected offnadir and nadir images.

Feature extraction is formulated using dynamic programming as an optimized problem-solving Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the algorithm.
摘要:Ray casting is a useful volume rendering method for visualizing irregular data this method can produc high quality images. However, It is quite time-consuming due to the intensive intersection calculation between rays and cell facets, especially the exterior cell facets. In order to speed up the intersection, computation, an improved method is proposed in the paper by taking the advantages of polygon scan conversion algorithm for the exterior cell facets, and of geometric coherence for the interior cell facets.

摘要:The restoration of 3-D vision information about underwater targets is the key problem for an Autonomous Under water Vehical (AUV) to sense envirronmental information and perform autonomous tasks. This paper presents a model-based restoration method. This method makes the curve fitting based on the detected edge points of targets and restores the .3D information of targets using the model knowledge. The method has been employed, successfully, for the guidance of an AUV in its autonomous underwater operations.

Since the release of Windows 3. 0 in early 1990s, the graphics market has been growing at a dazzling speed. The fierce competition makes the technology evolving so fast that it results in generations of product within only five years. 摘要:A general introduction of the characteristics and relationship of image engineering and its three layers: image processing, image analysis and image understanding is presented in this paper. Considering the current status of the researches on image engineering and the applications of image techniques as well as the distribution of related publications in China,we selected nearly hundred references from several important Chinese journals published in 1995 and classified these references into different categories according to their contents. The results provide readers with not only a general and up-to-date overview of image engineering in China,but also a convenient means of literature searching for image techniques.
