    • Survey of underwater image quality assessment research

    • This paper introduces the research progress in the field of underwater image quality evaluation. Relevant experts analyze the physical causes and perceptual manifestations of different types of degradation based on underwater optical imaging models, sort out existing subjective and objective quality evaluation indicators and their statistical characteristics, summarize the differences in mainstream databases, classify and evaluate various evaluation methods, and focus on discussing the application progress of new technologies, providing strong support for solving the problem of composite degradation of underwater images.
