This paper presents a computer model capable of generating cartoon puff and dust. We first classify existing cartoon puff and dust into different types according to their forms and dynamics
then construct skeletons defining their static and dynamic structures in 3D space. Based on those skeletons
final forms depicting relevant puff and dust are added to skeletons. The advantage of our model over the hand-drawn cartoon puffs and dust is generating cartoon puffs and dust with perspective under different view points which can effectively avoid reoetitive work of the animator when drawing corresponding effects.
