In order to get new methods on the digitization of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) tongue diagnosis and classification and retrieval of tongue pictures

a new image retrieval method based on multi-feature(color and texture) is presented in this paper.The authors used a 20-dimension eigenvector including both color and texture as the whole(image's) features to retrieval the resembled tongue images.The experimental results are satisfactying

whicn shows that this method can be used in retrieval of tongue pictures successfully.
