This paper describes a method for video reorganization based on contents. The method uses the color information of images such as color histogram

color noment etc. to measure the similarity between frames

and to detect and cut the shots. Furthermore

three reorganization algorithms

“simplified reorganization”

“proportional reorganization”and“self-adapting reorganization”

are also described in detail. All these three algorithms get good results in the simulation. So it can be used for quick preview of the video-database or other video information data. It also can be used for video preview
