Forest is a highly complex and important ecosystem, which is closely related to the production and life of human beings. However, the severe climatic conditions in recent years have caused frequent forest fires, resulting in serious damage to the natural ecology and social economy. Therefore, through the exploration of forest scene visualization and forest fire simulation technology, this paper can help to build a forest fire virtual simulation platform based on virtual reality technology and visualization technology, and further improve the informatization degree of forest fire emergency management decision-making in my country. Firstly, this paper classifies the related methods involved in forest scene visualization and forest fire simulation technology. After explaining its theoretical basis, it summarizes its latest progress according to the research status of the method and analyzes the applicable fields and advantages and disadvantages of different methods. In addition, this paper links the latest research progress of forest scene visualization and forest fire simulation technology and illustrates the specific application of this technology in related fields. Finally, the problems and challenges of forest scene visualization and forest fire simulation technology are discussed, and its development trend further prospects.
